While not much is known about this artist, more details have been uncovered in recent years. Secil “Sicilian” Vibration is a recording artist and outsider known for his unconventional recording and social practices. He was born in 1951 and spent his early years panhandling across the country collaborating with friends.
His recordings have appeared in many perplexing places, some placed covertly in other artists’ tapes and vinyl records. Although Sicilian Vibration is largely obscured from history, he is said to have collaborated with many prominent artists of his era. It is also believed that Secil continues to record today.
Vibration recorded an album entitled Signed, Sicil. He signed all the original album sleeves in the limited run. Vinyl copies of this album on are sought by outsider art collectors. The album received little noteriety, chalked up to the wild imagination of its author.
